11 brilliant Nigerians working with Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook

It’s no longer news that the founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg is in Lagos, Nigeria.
His first stop was the Co-Creation Hub, in Yaba where he watched children learning to code and interacted with at least 50 local startup founders and developers. More impressively, he trekked over 2km through the streets of Yaba to get to Andela, the talent accelerator he recently invested $24 million in.

Feeling a sense of pride at these young Nigerians who tell the true Nigerian story most convincingly. And to think we have them in multitudes! Why are they not being celebrated? They are a pleasant diversion to the youth narrative of 'Yahoo Yahoo', drug couriers, and kidney merchants running rings across Indonesia, Singapore, China etc., and ofcourse a departure from the rogue youths in students' unionism travelling across the country selling dubious awards for plates of porridge. But why would Buhari fail to acknowledge these youths preferring to trade with the rogues? I feel some inner satisfaction knowing fully well that if channeled right, Nigeria indeed got a future. Interesting that I am role playing for my boys, wishing they grow to become like these silent heroes of achievements. But how does prevailing education in our country support this desire? For a majority of us?
